1571 – A Blend with Purpose
A true Roastery favourite, 1571 brings together the rich sweetness of Colombian beans and the clean, balanced character of Nicaraguan coffee. Smooth and satisfying with a creamy body, this blend offers comforting notes of chocolate and caramel, rounded out with a subtle fruitiness that makes each sip linger beautifully.
Whether you brew it as espresso, in a French Press, or your favourite pour-over, 1571 delivers consistently delicious results.
Why 1571?
This blend tips its hat—quite literally—to the flat cap.
Back in the year 1571, English Parliament passed the Statute of Apparel, a law that required all “common men” over the age of six to wear woollen caps on Sundays and holidays or risk a fine. The upper classes were exempt, and over time the humble flat cap became a proud symbol of working-class identity. This blend is our nod to that history—crafted with intention, rooted in heritage, and brewed for connection.
