Brazil - Savannah Swiss Water Decaffeinated
Minas Gerais | Natural | Swiss Water Decaf | 82.75 SCA
Decaf without the disappointment.
Our Brazil Savannah Swiss Water Decaf starts with a naturally sweet, classic Brazilian coffee and removes the caffeine using the gentle Swiss Water Process – preserving the chocolate, nutty sweetness and smooth body that make it such a satisfying cup.
Grown in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Savannah comes from the Boa Vista and Taboues farms, where coffee is cultivated at approximately 910–1,220 metres above sea level.
The farms sit within Brazil's vast Cerrado landscape, an important coffee-growing region where carefully managed agriculture exists alongside substantial areas of natural habitat. Wildlife found across the estates includes toucans, monkeys and maned wolves, with jaguars also occasionally recorded in the wider landscape.
The coffee is naturally processed before being sent for decaffeination using the Swiss Water Process.
Rather than relying on conventional chemical solvents to remove caffeine, the Swiss Water Process uses water, temperature and a carefully controlled coffee extract to draw caffeine from the green coffee while retaining the compounds responsible for its flavour.
The process removes 99.9% of the caffeine, leaving us with something far more important than simply “a good decaf” – a genuinely delicious coffee that happens to be decaffeinated.
In our roast, expect mellow milk chocolate and roasted nuts, with gentle caramel-like sweetness and a smooth, silky body.
It's a particularly forgiving coffee to brew. There's enough body for espresso, plenty of sweetness to work beautifully through milk and a soft, rounded character that makes it equally enjoyable from a cafetière or AeroPress.
Whether you're cutting down on caffeine, drinking coffee later in the day or simply choosing decaf because you enjoy it, there's no reason the coffee itself should feel like a compromise.

Recommended Brew Methods
Espresso ★★★★★
A fantastic decaf espresso with plenty of body, mellow chocolate sweetness and a smooth finish. It's rich enough to feel like a proper espresso rather than a substitute for one.
Flat White / Cappuccino / Latte ★★★★★
One of our favourite ways to enjoy Savannah. Milk complements the chocolate and roasted-nut character beautifully, producing a sweet, creamy and comforting cup.
Cafetière ★★★★★
A wonderfully easy match. Immersion brewing brings out Savannah's silky body and softer chocolate and nut characteristics.
AeroPress ★★★★★
Smooth, sweet and beautifully balanced, with enough clarity to keep the cup lively while retaining plenty of body.
Moka Pot / Stove Top ★★★★☆
A rich and concentrated way to brew Savannah, particularly good if you enjoy a deeper, more espresso-like decaf at home.
Our pick: Flat White
For a smooth, creamy decaf where milk chocolate and roasted-nut sweetness become beautifully rich and comforting.
We always recommend buying whole bean coffee as this is the best for freshness. We are however happy to grind our coffee to your specification if this is how you would prefer it. Please note, we only supply ground coffee in 227g and 500g bags.
As a small independent roastery, we occasionally adjust prices to reflect rising costs and to continue roasting responsibly. Existing subscriptions are unaffected.
